Information for applicants

2025 The Performing And Visual arts in Emerald & District Festival is offering micro-grants to commission new or redeveloped art projects to be delivered in the context of the Festival Program 6th – 12th April, 2025.
Works we encourage include small temporary public art projects, installation works, contemporary visual art displays or performances, including Visual and/or Sound Art, Theatre and/or Dance.

Artists are invited to fill out our simple online EOI form, and some applicants will be chosen to develop their ideas for the Festival in 2025.

Applications that can demonstrate their work’s practical or conceptual relevance to the local community or a chosen site and/or collaborate with local community arts or artists will be prioritised. The Festival can suggest community groups that might align with your ideas and assist with brokering relationships. We welcome a mix of emerging and established artists interested in engaging with the local community and everyday artists/creatives.

Please be aware that we only have limited micro-grants available for 2025. Likely, many great ideas will not be commissioned in the 2025 program. This does not mean your idea isn’t a ripper. If you are not successful, we have our fingers and toes crossed to expand the commissioning program in the future. Please apply again.
